Buddy and Boo-Boo are our clinic cats! They serve as blood donors, patient advocates, pilling demonstrators, and stress reducers. They are usually up front in the waiting room ready to welcome you, but if you do not see them please feel free to ask for either one of them.
Buddy was born around 1998. We adopted him from ARNI (a pet rescue organization) in 2000 when we first opened. Buddy had been declawed before we adopted him. Buddy has an eating disorder. If we let him eat all he wanted, he would weigh 20 pounds! Hence, Buddy has to eat a prescription diet food in restricted amounts.
Buddy got a friend in 2002. Boo-Boo was brought in to us as a stray 3 month old kitten who had been run over by a car. The good Samaritan who found him could not keep him, so we adopted him. His left rear leg was damaged beyond repair and we amputated it. He has been a great cat addition to Cat Care Clinic. Boo-Boo is a good example of how well cats can get along with only 3 legs!
